ITINERARY

 

Day 01 Delhi

Arrive at Delhi International Airport. And transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Delhi - Agra
In the morning, panoramic tour of Delhi, the capital of India. First, Old Delhi, the ancient city of the Mughal sultans with steep and narrow streets teeming with people and New Delhi, the capital of the Indian Empire with wide tree-lined avenues Briton Edwin Lutyens designed as a city- garden. Visit the Raj Ghat, the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated; Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; passing in front of the Red Fort was once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal empire and the bustling shopping district of Chandi Chowk. Visiting New Delhi and the Qutb Minar minaret, the tallest minaret in the world. Finally, Connaught Circus, the heart of public life in New Delhi, Rajpath and India Gate, Parliament and the President's residence. Road to Agra. On arrival transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Agra

At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal, the majestic white marble mausoleum which stands at the bottom of a huge garden on the edge of the river Yamuna. Emperor Shah Jahan, mad with grief at the death of his beloved in 1653, made him build this tomb was completed after 23 years of titanic work. An architectural jewel, it is the symbol of immense perfection rarely equaled and mad love of an emperor for his wife. Then the Mughal style tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah ornate and is considered the precursor of the Taj Mahal. In the afternoon, visit the Red Fort of Agra, the largest fort in India a UNESCO Cultural Heritage. In 1558, Emperor Akbar decided to Agra his capital and rebuilt the fort in order to make a residential palace combined with a strong military. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 04 Agra - Gwalior
After breakfast, drive to Gwalior fortress that evokes the glitzy Rajput chivalry. En route, stop at Dholpur and visit the sacred site of Muchund. Continue to Gwalior. Visit the Fort, huge construction with high walls ten meters, has many monuments. It is located on a platform overlooking the city almost 100 meters high. This is a beautiful complex of yellow stones decorated with blue glazed clay tiles. In the afternoon, stroll through the bazaar of Gwalior. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Gwalior - Orchha
Morning drive to Orchha. Discovery of this ancient capital known for its temples and royal palaces that preserve beautiful murals. The grandeur of this magnificent city captured in stone has survived the centuries without a hitch. All its royal palaces and temples built in the 16th and 17th centuries still carry the prestige of the dynasty. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Orchha - Khajuraho
In the morning, drive to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, visit the temples World Heritage Site by Unesco. Khajuraho was the religious capital of the Chandela dynasty had built a large temple complex which counted to 85, but only 22 remain today. They were devoted to the Hindu and Jain religions. They are divided into three groups called western group, group and southern group. Abandoned and overgrown by the jungle, it is the rediscovered in 1840 and works in the early 20th century will free them. They are covered with refined sculptures of figures and animals and are also famous for their erotic figures. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Khajuraho - Varanasi
Morning transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho Varanasi. Upon arrival, drive to Sarnath, high religious place. This is where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after receiving enlightenment. This new religion enjoyed extraordinary popularity and was broadcast throughout Asia. Sarnath became a kind of spiritual school from the 16th century BC. Back to Varanasi Ghats on the evening puja. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Varanasi - Kathmandu
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges ghats along that allow Hindu devotees to go down to the river to practice to their prayers and ablutions. The bath in the Ganges is supposed to wash away all sins. It is also on the ghats that cremation is practiced. Then stroll through the old Benares. Back to the hotel for breakfast and late morning free. In the afternoon, transfer to airport for flight to Varanasi to Kathmandu. Welcome on arrival and after customs formalities and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Kathmandu
Located at 1365 meters above sea level, Kathmandu, the City of Glory, always was the capital of Nepal kings. Morning tour of the old city of Kathmandu Hanuman Dhoka, the former Royal Palace, Durbar Square, the historic Place Royale. The residence of the child goddess Kumari, the wooden building is one of the finest in the city. Then excursion to the stupa of Swayambhunath Buddhist shrine located on the heights of the city. 2500 years old, it is one of the oldest stupas in the world. In the afternoon, drive to Patan, ancient city called the city of Fine Arts, with its medieval streets, strewn with palaces and red brick pagodas. Continue to the Tibetan refugee camp and craft center where you can admire the art of weaving and carpet factory. Back in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Kathmandu - Nagarkot
Morning drive to the site Pashupatinath Hindu, a leading Buddhist shrines built in the 5th century. Pashupatinath temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is famous for its stunning architecture. This place of the most important cremation of Nepal with Varanasi, India, the most impressive of all the sub-continent. Then on to Boudhanath stupa and its huge white, center of Tibetan Buddhism, the second after Lhasa. Built in the 7th century, countless prayer flags shimmering colors float on the site. Then, drive to the small village of Changunarayana which houses a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu considered the oldest temple of Nepal, its origin dates back to the 4th century. Finally, towards Nagarkot, a small village perched at 2200 meters, which is by far the site with the most breathtaking view of the majestic surrounding peaks. Nagarkot The site is famous for the sunsets and sunrises. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 Nagarkot - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
Back to Kathmandu and along the way, stop in the holy city of Bhaktapur, actually a medieval town in the 9th century when the Newar, the main inhabitants still follow ancient traditions and customs. The picturesque Bhaktapur, shaped like a conch is considered an open air museum with all its streets are amazing as each other. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 Kathmandu - Delhi
Free morning to enjoy one last walk then transfer to airport for flight to Delhi for return flight.
