Dhordo village, nestled in the heart of the picturesque Kutch district in Gujarat, has recently achieved international acclaim by securing a coveted spot on the prestigious list of the “54 Best Tourism Villages” by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This noteworthy recognition was formally announced during the G20’s Tourism Working Group Meeting, which took place under the presidency of India. The honor bestowed upon Dhordo village celebrates its exceptional efforts in preserving its landscapes, rich cultural diversity, local values, and cherished culinary traditions.

In an exciting development, an additional 20 villages have also been included in the UNWTO’s Upgrade Programme, bringing the total count to 74 villages now integrated into the UNWTO Best Tourism Villages Network. This momentous announcement took place during the UNWTO General Assembly held in the enchanting city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

By Train: Bhuj Railway Station serves as the nearest railhead to Dhordo, and it is situated at a distance of 80 kilometers. Upon reaching Bhuj by train, you can further travel to Dhordo by road.
