On January 14 every year, we celebrate Makar Sankranti. It is the only Indian festival celebrated on a fixed calendric day of the solar calendar. Since many years, the cities- Jodhpur and Jaipur have been hosting Kite Festival on Makar Sankranti with great fervor. The main attribute of the festival is the show of ‘diversity’ in all aspects. Kites all shapes and sizes are seen in the sky and the main competition is to cut the strings of nearby kite flyers and bring it down. For this purpose people intend to make their strings and sharp as possible, to give a tough fight to its opponent flyer. The special kite strings are coated with the mixture of glass and glue called as ‘manjha’. Bright and colourful kites in striking shapes and unusual designs, some never seen before, would dot the sunny sky of Rajasthan on 14 January

Nagaur festival is after Pushkar, the second largest festival of Rajasthan. Turbaned Rajasthanis come from throughout the region to the great cattle fair. They value their horses, donkeys, bulls and camels, which are the subject of an incredible grooming: real hair sculptures, graphic designs for dyeing, ceremonial harness. As in Pushkar, the villagers wear the most colorful clothes: turbans for men, skirts and saris and veils for women.

Holi, sometimes called the festival of colors, is a Hindu festival celebrated in the spring. Celebrated throughout India for two days, Holi is a time for children and adults to use water spray and powder of all colors. The night of the first day of the festival, a fire is lit to remind the cremation of Holika. The second day, dressed in white, people enjoy around with color pigments and pounce on each other in a highly charged atmosphere. Come mingle with the crowd! An experience not to be missed.

First travel experience with Aryavrit Travels and to my faith, very pleasantly surprised. We found the agency on the Lonely Planet website and has much more to us. The first telephone contact we have confidence. Beautiful listen to our wishes and very fair proposals. We recognize the experience of people. The choice of accommodation delighted us with a heart for the havelis of Rajasthan which we relive the days of the maharajas. A Khajuraho and Varanasi, is something else. The return to Lyon after that difficult but the desire to leave is there. Always with Aryavrit Travels.
Monic R,Here we are back in Luxembourg after our trip to Rajasthan, Agra and Varanasi. We wanted to share with you our impressions about the organization of our trip and the quality of your professionalism. Since our arrival in Delhi until we left 18 days later, we had only praise the quality of your performance and reliability of your agency. Our guide, our driver and our driver assistance have been consistently make this pleasant circuit, comfortable thanks to their kindness and dedication. Twenty-five French holiday is a sacred event for any guide who respects but I have to say that Madhav was more than perfect. The accommodations were very different and very comfortable overall. Thank you again for all the attention you have given us.
Agnès DWe have just completed a tour in India and Nepal with Aryavrit Travels. Back in France, we wanted to express their gratitude for this wonderful trip. Regulars tours in groups (often too many), we did not find in our usual tour operators fairly complete circuits and supplements requested for travel schedules were out of our budget. With a friend, we formed a group of three and we have considered as the basic best lap we found, that is to say an 18-day tour: Rajasthan Varanasi + + Kathmandu. This circuit is really developed and we have hardly changed (if it is to avoid arriving in Agra on a day when the Taj Mahal is closed to the public). We have been able to bear against its duration to 22 days by adding an enchanting stay in Nepal with 3 safaris in the reserve of Chitwan and Pokhara visiting the foot of the Annapurna mountains. The first part of 2400 km around Rajasthan took place under the leadership of our Ranjeet driver for us was more than a driver. In addition to the fabulous famous sites he motivated us in many unusual places and he was always available. For the night train part + 2 flights, we were escorted to our climb on the train or up checks at airports and at every arrival a sign with our name telling us who looked after us. (As for the train, we would never have found alone). So we did not waste any time and we certainly could visit every day 50% more things that can make a substantial group. Although remaining in a range of very competitive prices, we have had several memorable hotels, such as the former palace of the Maharajah in Udaipur or the new Deo Garh Palace to name but two. The visit to Varanasi is an unforgettable moment of emotion. As advised by the agency, we have the evening attended a puja and that is essential. The first Tuk tuk driver met knew lead us in the right place. The agency in Nepal is also well organized. Visits to Chitwan and Pokhara were accompanied by English-speaking guides of the highest quality. The guide Kathmandu spoke perfect French. So we are delighted with our trip, and if it again, we would do the same thing by simply adding 2 more days to be less rushed in Varanasi and Nepal. Thank you to Aryavrit Travels.
Jean-Luc BWonderful trip to Rajasthan in March. Circuit balanced and varied between villages and beautiful countryside cities. All thanks to Aryavrit Travels. This agency has allowed us to realize a dream. The hotels were perfect, we were fortunate to be upgraded to a Maharaja Palace in Bikaner. We made this trip, clean and comfortable (water bottles, handkerchiefs), and our driver Ranjeet, a large regular of French tourists drove us safely. Seen driving in India, he was always careful. We had French speaking local guides some of which have surprised us with their culture and especially their command of the language. Aryavrit Travels is an agency that I recommend highly for the quality of its services, its thoroughness and attention at all times. They gave us a phone on arrival to call them in case of problems. What we have never done! If you are looking for a serious agency, contact without hesitation. Their prices are very good and the quality is there. We are planning for next year South India with them and we will start with a couple of friends.
Karine GI did a 15 day tour in Rajasthan. National parks to see the tiger, really beautiful to see this animal in freedom, Corbett, Ranthambore, Barathpur back riding elephant to Amber, picturesque train journey. Group of 17 people and perfect organization. It takes a lot more time to visit this country. Next time I would stay longer. The work of the local agency Aryavrit Travels was fine. Everything went perfectly well. Charming guide, very helpful, speaking French well, very satisfactory hotels. Arriving in India, see everyone a shock. The guide told us a lot because it was very available. I sincerely recommend this company for those who want to discover the authentic Indian and otherwise.
Jean BThey hardly missed anything for total satisfaction, just a bit noisy hotel in Varanasi. But this is India and its horns. Agency: at the top. Tips before starting on site and very caring throughout our stay and always available. A big tip of the hat and a next time for sure. Thank you Aryavrit Travels. Aryavrit Travels is REALLY the agency for a trip to India.
